**Date and Place of Birth:-
December 10, 1978, in Forgan Village, Sabah District, Rada’a Area, Al-Bayda Governorate, Yemen.
**Education:-
He completed his primary and secondary education in his village and then joined the Faculty of Sharia
and Law at Sana'a University, graduating in 2000.
**Professional Experience:-
After graduating, he worked in Yemen as a lawyer, legal advisor, and international human rights
expert with over 22 years of professional experience. His expertise includes human rights advocacy,
youth development, partnership building, advocacy, research and data analysis, administration,
organizational capacity building, negotiations, youth programs, policy development, human rights
advocacy, team leadership, and coordination. He is highly motivated, active, and experienced in the
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), stakeholder engagement, and professional communication
skills. He also possesses personal skills in public and international relations.
**Work Experience in Various Environments:-
He has experience working locally and internationally, including managing institutions.
**Educational Qualifications:-
- Bachelor's degree in Sharia and Law from Sana'a University, 2000.
- Certificate in excellent skills in human rights advocacy, communication arts, critical thinking,
problem-solving, teamwork, lifelong learning, information management, entrepreneurship, and
leadership from the Geneva International Centre for Justice.
**Leadership Roles:-
- Founder and President of the Association for Human Rights and Migration since its establishment in
Yemen in 2007.
- Director of Legal and Human Rights Affairs at the International Coalition for Education for All in
Yemen (May 2012-present).
- Founder and President of the Yemeni Civil Society Organizations Coalition "Partners" (August
2011-present).
- Founder of the Al-Bayda Charity Development Association since 2011.

- Member of the Yemeni Bar Association since 2002.
- Lawyer authorized to plead before the Supreme Court of Yemen.
- Member of the Arab Lawyers Union.
- International human rights activist.
- Legal advisor and lawyer with the former President of Yemen and the General People's Congress.
- President of the Assistance Association Ma’onah for Human Rights and immigration, an
international non-governmental human rights organization with consultative status at the UN
Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) since 2019.
- Former Secretary-General of the Rada'a and Al-Bayda Development Association in Yemen.
- Former Head of the Legal Affairs Department at the Yemeni Civil Coalition for Education for All.
- Member of the International Campaign for Education for All in Yemen.
- General Coordinator of Civil Society Organizations in Yemen (Partners), a non-governmental
coalition of 50 legal NGOs established on February 19, 2008.
- Accredited foreign journalist with the U.S. Department of State in New York from 2017 to 2022.

- Participated in numerous international and regional conferences on human rights and sustainable
development, presenting legal studies on human rights and civil liberties in Geneva, Switzerland,
Belgium, France, Germany, Egypt, Bahrain, Tunisia, Morocco, and the USA.
- Attended and participated in all sessions of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva since 2011
continuously.
- Engaged in various UN-sponsored human rights enhancement activities in Yemen, New York, and
Geneva.
- Author of a historical book titled "Exposing Distorted Ideas in the History of Ancient Yemen,"
published in 2012 by Khalid bin Al-Walid Library, Sana'a.
- Published numerous papers and studies in the fields of law and human rights in various electronic
platforms, newspapers, and local, Arab, and international magazines.
- Yemeni historian, researcher, and writer with many publications.
**Key Contributions:-
- On September 15, 2019, participated in the UN Week in New York to implement the Sustainable
Development Goals alongside the UN General Assembly meetings for a week.
- On August 7, 2019, met with the Spokesperson for the UN Secretary-General in New York and
delivered a petition demanding the opening of Sana'a International Airport and all Yemeni ports under
UN supervision for humanitarian reasons.
- On September 8, 2019, issued a roadmap initiative for peacebuilding in Yemen, in Arabic and
English, and submitted these proposals to all UN peace envoys for Yemen.
- Participated in international monitoring of the referendum on constitutional amendments in Egypt in
2019.
- On June 20, 2019, represented Yemen in celebrating World Refugee Day in New York, organizing a
demonstration in Manhattan, demanding respect for refugee rights.
- On July 4, 2019, personally organized the first annual honorary ceremony for top Yemeni-American
high school graduates of 2018, promoting the right to education as a human right and encouraging
ongoing education. This annual celebration has continued as a tradition with the association's
involvement.
**Additional Contributions and Activities:
- **February 21, 2020:- Participated in the release of a comprehensive international human rights
report by the Assistance Association for Human Rights and Migration on Iran, titled "The Governing
Regime in Iran, Its Systematic Violations of Human Rights Domestically, Documentation of Its
Violations of International Humanitarian Law and the UN Charter, and Its Systematic Practices of
International Terrorism Across Borders."
- **February 2020:- Participated in the annual meetings of the Inter-Parliamentary Union with the
United Nations on the right to education held in New York.
- **February 13, 2020: Participated in an open session held by the United Nations Security Council in
New York focused on transitional justice in conflict and post-conflict situations.
- **February 1, 2020:- Issued an international human rights report as President of the Assistance
Association for Human Rights and Migration titled "The Catastrophic Human Rights Situation in
Turkey: A Government Practicing Systematic Violations of International Law and Cross-Border
Piracy and Terrorism." The report was published on the association's website in both Arabic and
English.
- **2020:- Participated in the 46th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council. Details of

- **2020:- Participated in the activities and events of the 47th session of the United Nations Human

- **June 2, 2022:- Participated in a demonstration in front of the United Nations building in New York
in support of the ongoing peace process in Yemen, calling for an end to the war and the reopening of
closed airports and roads in Yemen.
- **June 20, 2022:- Participated in activities and statements during the 50th session of the United
Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva.
- **September 12 - October 7, 2022:** Participated in the 51st session of the United Nations Human
Rights Council in Geneva.
- **August 30, 2022:- Participated in a United Nations meeting on integrating youth rights into the
activities of the UN General Assembly in New York, organized by the UN General Assembly under
the presidency of Abdulla Shahid.
- **December 14, 2022:- Participated in a meeting held by the UN Committee on NGOs in New York,
delivering an oral briefing on the challenges faced by NGOs with consultative status at the United
Nations.
- **September 21, 2022:- Participated in a high-level meeting of the 77th session of the UN General
Assembly to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration on the Rights of
Persons Belonging to National or Ethnic, Religious, and Linguistic Minorities, held at the Trusteeship
Council at UN headquarters in New York.
- **September 21, 2022:- Participated in the International Day of Peace and the UN's anti-racism
event at the UN headquarters in New York.
- **End of 2023:- Represented Yemeni NGOs at the United Nations Climate Change Conference
(COP 28) in Dubai.
- ** 2021:- Founded the Association Ma’onah for Human Rights and immigration in New York City
and obtained state tax exemption of 2024 .
- **2023:- Led the Yemeni community in New York in a movement for change, resulting in the
election of new leadership for the Yemeni community. Elected as the first interim president of the
Yemeni community by the General Assembly for sixty days until the new leadership was elected
under the supervision of a renowned American election company. Handed over the position to the
elected.
