An advocacy campaign was launched to open Yemeni passport services in New York City to serve the Yemeni community in the state. The campaign continued until Yemeni President Rashad Al-Alimi approved the request, which was adopted by Aziz Zaid, the Vice President of the Association. President Al-Alimi directed the establishment of a passport center at the Yemeni Embassy in New York. The center has been operational since the beginning of 2024 and continuously serves over 300,000 Yemeni American residents in New York State.
