Ma’onah Launches Initiative to Encourage Voter Participation in Midterm Elections

New York – October 31, 2026

The Association Ma’onah for Human Rights and Immigration (AMHRI), an organization holding Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), has announced the launch of its electoral awareness initiative in New York City. The initiative involves printing and distributing informational brochures designed to encourage eligible U.S. citizens to exercise their constitutional right to vote and participate in the upcoming U.S. congressional midterm elections, scheduled for Tuesday, November 3, 2026.

This initiative forms part of AMHRI’s broader efforts to promote civil and political rights, foster a culture of democratic participation, and raise public awareness of the importance of elections as a fundamental means through which citizens exercise their right to choose their representatives and participate in public affairs.

The campaign focuses on distributing voter education materials throughout New York City, conveying messages that encourage electoral participation, respect voters’ freedom of choice, and promote equality and non-discrimination in the exercise of political rights. The materials also direct voters to official election resources to verify their polling locations and voting hours.

AMHRI emphasized that this initiative is an independent, nonpartisan civic and human rights effort. The Association neither endorses nor opposes any political party or candidate, nor does it seek to influence voters’ individual choices. Rather, the initiative aims to strengthen public awareness of voting rights and encourage free, informed, and responsible participation in the democratic process, in accordance with applicable U.S. laws.

The Association further reaffirmed that safeguarding the right to vote and strengthening civic participation are integral to its mission of defending human rights, fundamental freedoms, and the rule of law.
